  11. This program for BMUG Members takes effect on May 1st. Please do not call The World until that date. The Rate Information is in the Welcome Message.

  14. Set your Telecommunications software to 8-N-1 and your Terminal to VT 100. 
  15.  
  16. You can connect to World from 300-57,600 bps.
  17.  
  18. Call The World by dialing (617)739-9753 (WRLD).
  19.  
  20. Login as new (no password) to create a new account. 
  21.  
  22. (Current World Accounts should log on as they normally do.)

  24. Once on, run:

  26. Prompt           You Type
  27. world%           join-bmug 
  28.  
  29. Which will ask you for your BMUG info and automatically mail the answers to a staff person on The World.

  33. You will be asked to provide certain information identifying yourself as a BMUG Member.

  35. You will be asked to provide the following:

  37. Your LAST NAME
  38. Your FIRST NAME
  39. Your CITY
  40.  
  41. This specific information is needed when you type join-bmug to receive the special rates.
